Robb,

TED Aspen sounds cool: "So we built this year's program around the biggest questions there are: Who are we? Why are we here? What is love? (And why are we so bad at it?) And there's no better place to consider them than the Aspen Institute, with its stunning views that inspire deep thinking."

i hope you enjoy the conference and meet some amazing people. in the future, i'd like to see you take the TED platform and share the cool stuff you're doing at I-I.

keep it flowing....

Nice to see people from I-I going to TED. How the hell do you even get invited there? Anyway. Ever since I found out about TED I always wanted to see Wilber speak at that conference (or anyone else integrally informed). Speak about what? About just about anything really.

Have there ever been anyone from I-I there to take the stage?

Robb -

Going to TED, aye? Well then allow me to be so bold:

I'm the *only* dedicated "integralist" who's attended (count them) three TED Conferences (last 3 running). In addition, I've spent the better part of 2007 trying to get Deida in as the "Love" guru for this year's theme (alas).

I've done a remarkable amount of networking in and around TED and am going to be in ASPEN this year as well.

It's high time you got to know me anyway...as it is, I'm developing "Holopedia" (successor platform to Wikipedia, the startup phase of which which I worked at in 1998) and functioning quite independently at this point (ie, I submitted 5 - count them - proposals to the Integral Academic Conference for this August, if that gives you any idea).

I can also say that my list of I-I contacts is long.

Good thing I caught your post via RSS, eh?

Let's please talk (the Integral Life phone system has forcibly prevented me from leaving you a message).

Call me anytime though at 310-774-1466. This is a particularly open week for me.

Or email me at samfar - at - gmail.

See you in Aspen, Robb. Also a fan of Ken Wilber.

Aphorisms

  • The Toothless Bite of Men
One cannot assume the truth of what one declares without presuming the falsity of all incongruous declarations. Since all men assume the truth of their declarations, this presumption becomes at best ironic and at worst outrageous. Given the infinity of possible claims, who could be so vain as to think their dismal claims true? The tragedy, of course, is that we cannot but make declarations. So it seems we must speak as Gods in order to converse as Men.

  • On Proof the World is Round
The only proof we need that the world is round is to consider that every man thinks he stands taller than the man next to him.
